You might’ve noticed a lot of down time with our blog this past month and I apologize profusely. The technical team for our web host moved our site to another server which caused a whole bunch of problems for us. If your RSS reader is pulling up Papa Bear’s blog or repeats of old posts then you can ignore them. I think our database issues have finally been resolved and this blog is operational (hopefully) again. Thanks for your patience!
Wanted to drop by to leave a quick Christmas greeting. We woke up this morning to another round of snow! It was a picture perfect White Christmas for us. The above photo was taken (with my cell phone) at the end of our journey to the grocery store on Tuesday. It was nice to get some fresh air but it’s much nicer to be inside. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday!
Cold weather struck our area a couple days before the winter solstice. The snow has been falling since Thursday and is expected to stick around for several days after Christmas. We never imagined it could get this bad but we are managing through this flurry as gracefully as we can. Since our car tires are not meant for icy roads, we are relying on home grocery delivery to bring us our Christmas meal ingredients. Papa Bear has been working from home. And Ariel doesn’t mind being indoors all day long. So need to worry about us, despite a small case of cabin fever, we are doing fine. Have a safe and fun holidays!

I’ve decided to retire the old photo gallery and start using Menalto’s photo web application, Gallery. I had made our original gallery from scratch and never took the time to tweak its flaws, like how I had to manually input data into the database. So with our second child on the way and my nesting instinct in full swing, I thought it was time to streamline the way things get updated to our site. Besides the new photo gallery, the minis page will redirect to our share page at the video hosting site, One True Media.

This year we have so much to be thankful for, including another smooth pregnancy! Here is one of the ultrasound images of Ariel’s baby brother taken at 18 weeks (10/10/2008).

I’m close to a month tardy in posting this but Happy 2nd Birthday to our little girl, Ariel! We spent our birthday in Hawaii with family and the animals at the Honolulu Zoo. The best part of the day was seeing Ariel’s face light up when we all sang Happy Birthday. I want to thank our loving family for putting it all together and especially for your gracious hospitality during our 9-day visit. We hope to see you all again soon!
We are back online thanks to Papa Bear’s awesome computer building skills. He worked diligently this past weekend on putting together, not one, but two PCs for us! I am slowly getting photos updated to the gallery. Thanks for your patience!
Postings of the photos from our Hawaii Birthday Bash and Halloween holiday will be delayed. Our 5-year old PC got a bit jealous of our vacation and refuses to power on. I hope to get the site updated before Thanksgiving so please check back with us later this month.
