Happy New Year & A Flashback
January 14th, 2012Christmas Magic
December 28th, 2011Christmas brought us a lot of magic and a magic show! As you can see, Ariel was thrilled to get a magic show kit from dear ol’ Dad:
It turns out; Ariel is pretty good at it. And as Dad predicted, it’d be a lot of fun for her. Here she is after a 30 minute rehearsal with Dad’s help:
Hooray Ariel! We’re super proud of you and can’t wait for next Sunday’s show!
Merry Christmas

Flashback
December 23rd, 201135 Years Young!
December 20th, 2011We’re super glad Dad decided to take a day off from work for his birthday today. It was Ariel’s idea to throw him a comic-book themed party. Not everything was comic book related (she really wanted me to make a comic book cake) but we managed to still have a blast. Here’s how we spent our celebration:
Blueberry Pancake Breakfast
Haircut
Taco Tuesday and Banana & Brownie Split Dessert
We must have partied pretty hard because Sylas fell asleep before 9 pm!
(He woke up at 10:30 as I drafted this post.)
Happy Birthday to our Super Dad (and husband)! We hope you enjoyed your special day and doubly hope you know how much we love you!
Love,
Ariel, Sylas and Josie
Thankful!
December 5th, 2011Happy belated Thanksgiving! I’m a wee bit late posting this but better late than never, right?! We enjoyed the typical Thanksgiving meal (thanks to several convenience foods from Trader Joe’s) on our holiday. And thanks to our lovely Ariel, we also learned what makes each family member special. I jotted them down on our place cards:
A 5-year olds perspective can be quite entertaining. I can’t wait to see what she’ll think of us next Thanksgiving!
November Birthdays
November 1st, 2011I hope Grandpa Ceasar gets his card in time:
And also wishing Uncle Mike and Uncle Jon an early birthday greeting!
Half A Decade Old!
October 25th, 2011Black Eye
September 11th, 2011You may have noticed Sylas’ awful bruise while browsing our photos. It’s been about two weeks since he decided to jump on the air mattress then bopped into the bed frame. I don’t think it was ever painful after the initial smack and thankfully, the bruise is starting to fade. Here is how Sylas’ black eye is progressing.
It’s nice to see he’s still smiling! ![]()
